Once upon a time, we had an inflatable brontosaurus (technically brachiosaurus) up in our office standing at the front being awesome.
I had a field day. It was so freaking cool.
I took a photo with said dinosaur, posted it to Instagram, and said, "Dear Big Brontosaurus, can you please make an appearance at our wedding?"
For additional context, Jurassic Park is one of those movies that I can watch over and over again and have playing in the background when I'm doing stuff around the house. It also happens that part of Jurassic Park (as well as LOST) was filmed in the Ko'olau Mountains, where our venue was.
Anyway, back to the story...
A couple months before the wedding, my coworker came up to me with a box and basically said, "I don't know if they saw your message, but we got another one. I thought you'd like it."
I was ECSTATIC. My parents, maybe a little less so. Haha.
Originally, the dinosaur was placed near the front by the photo booth, but midway through the reception, I asked the wedding planner's assistants if they could bring it to the main area and set it by the cake table.
As much as I enjoyed watching them hold it over their heads to bring it to the front, I'm sure our guests enjoyed it too. Definitely a sight to see. Haha.
Needless to say, it was a hit at the wedding.
So much so, that it went crowdsurfing during the dancing.
One of the wedding highlights FOR SURE.
