2018 Week 1 Check-in
Ok, I thought I'd do a check-in for the first week of 2018. I don't plan on doing this weekly. In fact, I think it'll be more of a monthly thing, so this one is a little bit of a giveaway.
Besides being sick, I'd say I'm tracking fairly well with my 2018 goals. Frankly, it'd be sad if I wasn't, considering I just made them on Monday. Haha. I've made progress on a few fronts.
I took a brush lettering class on Skillshare, which was really fun. It was a short and sweet class that was a great one for the fundamentals of brush lettering. By doing that class, not only did I a) take a class and b) learn something new, I also used what I have, but have not yet used — brush pens. I had these brush pens from Tombow that I had purchased during a sale they had back in 2016. Didn't use them till yesterday. What can I say? I hoard craft supplies. Hence, my goal to use what I have.
On the home front, I have started to purge my closet. I've been quite active on Poshmark. I've been working on listing more of my clothes there. Unfortunately, I have also purchased more clothes (stupid holiday clearance sales), so I, uh, definitely need to get rid of some stuff.
I've definitely been doing some adulting this week, but I won't get into details on that.
I finished knitting 4 baby beanies, and I'm in progress on a 5th. These are all for the Little Hats, Big Hearts project I wrote about in a previous post. I'm super excited about it, and I can't wait to see how many I can contribute.
Overall, I'd say that in this first week of 2018, I have done a pretty good job with pushing myself to start the year off strong. Of course, this is just the tip of the iceberg. I have 359 days go to, but—as always—I am hopeful.
