I wasn't joking when I said I'd need a separate tree...

For the last 3 years, I've joked that when we have kids, we'd need to get a second tree so the kids could decorate it however they want. I, of course, would need my own tree because I'm a bit particular in how I want my Christmas tree to look.

Last year, Melvin and I got a couple of unique ornaments that I wanted to make sure we had on display this year, which obviously meant that we'd need another tree.

Fortunately for Melvin, it's just a 3 foot tabletop feather tree that I put in our bedroom. Haha.

I bought a few strands of beautiful beaded garland to add a little extra something to help fill the tree while we don't yet have a ton of unique ornaments. Then we quickly went to work adding our individual ornaments.

Last year, I purchased a Hogwarts Express ornament the weekend after we got engaged when we visited the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Later that year, when I was in New York, I got us a cute snow couple ornament to celebrated the year of our engagement. This year, to celebrate our first Christmas together as a married couple, I turned to Hallmark.

We can't wait to continue adding to this tree in the coming years, though something tells me we'll fill it in no time. Haha.

Happy Christmas Eve!
