Today, I turn 27.
I get to celebrate 27 years of life, love, and everything in between, and... I get to celebrate it for the second year in a row, at home in Hawaii with my family. I am counting my blessings.
While my birthday festivities changes from year to year, every few years, I get to celebrate it on a very special, very related occasion.
I get to celebrate another year of life and the woman primarily responsible for it all, my mother. What better way to enjoy your birthday than honoring the woman who not only carried and cared for you for 9 long months in her womb, but also helped raise you to become the person you are today?
So, to all the mothers and mother figures out there, Happy Mother's Day!
