What a Wonderful Weekend...

Hi, all! There's so much to catch up on considering that I just got back from a 2-in-1 trip to Hawaii. Part 1 was a company vacation trip to Kona on the Big Island, and Part 2 was a trip home to Oahu. For today's post, I'm focusing on Part 2 because it was a very special trip home for me.

1: A First Meeting

You may recall me previously mentioning her birth in my February Reflections post, but I finally got to meet my niece, Nike-Anne. This silly baby girl waited two days after I left home in February before making her way into this world. Needless to say, I was thrilled to finally meet her.

2+3: Two Birthdays

For the first time in 6 years, I was able to celebrate my birthday at home with my family. And for the first time ever, I got to celebrate my godson's birthday with him. His birthday is a day after mine, so I made sure that we got a cake for him, too. Don't mind his sad face. He just got done crying over the fact that one of his sisters put frosting on his cheek earlier. Haha.

4: Mother's Day

I got to be home for Mother's Day, which meant that my mom got to have all three of her daughter's together for Mother's Day.

Now, even though I worked remotely for 4 of the 6 days on Oahu, this was definitely a trip to remember. I can't express how grateful I am that I work at a company that allows me to work remotely like this and how blessed I am to have had the weekend to celebrate multiple special occasions with my family.

If you haven't guessed by now, I'm all about family, so this meant the world to me.

All that being said, I want to send a special Thank You out to all of you who greeted me on my birthday. Thank you for the thoughtful greetings and for the smiles you gave me. I'm thankful for each and every one of you.

With Love,
