A Magical Adventure

As mentioned in my previous post, I had the opportunity to go to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Orlando's Islands of Adventure. While I didn't take as many photos as I would have liked, I did get a few as I walked through the park.

It was a nerd's (aka MY) dream come true buying a wand from Ollivander's, Chocolate Frogs and Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans from Honeydukes, and Butterbeer from the Three Broomsticks.

*CAUTION* Content from this point on may be considered extremely nerdy.

One of my favorite things about my experience was the fact that the employees were so thorough in their roles as witches and wizards. The first time I made a purchase, the employee asked me what house I was in and mentioned that her colleague was clearly doing well in his Divination class because he had started wrapping my mug before she even asked. Another time, I was asked to sign [the receipt] for the Ministry of Magic, which I gladly did.

Needless to say, I fit right in. ;)

In addition to shopping and riding Dragon's Challenge and Flight of the Hippogriff, I ate Fish and Chips and Butterbeer for lunch at the Three Broomsticks and ended the day at the park with a beer from Hog's Head.

It was quite a magical adventure that day, and I look forward to going back sometime after the second installment opens this summer.

In the meantime, I hope you all enjoy the pictures!

And, in case you Harry Potter fans need more encouragement to go visit, I've included some pictures of a few of my purchases. And yes, a few, not all. :P
